This is an opportunity for New Life families, couples, singles of all ages and abilities to serve in a beautiful location on the remote coast of Vancouver Island. All kinds of help is needed, which means there is a job for everyone. Learn more about this trip by clicking the button below. Registration forms are due by April 30.
Easter Weekend Services
From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday we’ll reflect on the theme “In Remembrance of Me.” On Palm Sunday (March 24) we will remember Jesus’ triumphal entry as a king. At the Good Friday service on March 29 at 6pm, we will contemplate the sacrifice Jesus made. And on Easter Sunday, March 31 at 10am, we’ll celebrate the great hope that Jesus brings. Following Jesus’ command to “do this in remembrance of me” recalls the sadness of Jesus sacrifice, but it also anticipates the great celebration when we are joined with Jesus in his Kingdom. So on Easter Sunday (instead of on the usual Good Friday service) we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Everyone is welcome to these services as we anticipate the joyful banquet of our Lord.

To all the ladies missing the feel of dirt under their nails or wanting to add colour to their homes please join us to build a beautiful moss lined hanging basket. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a custom basket with flowers from Vaandrager’s nursery. This break out session is for the experienced and unexperienced gardeners giving us a chance to learn from one another about flowers. Dawn Dykstra will facilitate this session, she is a mom of three and lover of flowers, though still learning through trial and error in her own garden.
4. Prayer Binder
Are your prayers mostly “on the go” and “spotty” when you need help, or even just before meals? How are your conversations with God? Are you desiring to grow deeper in your prayer life? Join Shena Gorter in creating a prayer binder where you can organize your thoughts and prayers for adoration, rest, confession, thanksgiving and petition for all the people and areas in your life. You leave the workshop with a personalized binder to help you get started in making prayer a routine, including written prayers and other tools for using scripture to inspire your personal conversations with God
5. Welcoming the Stranger & Foreigner
Jesus said, “Love the Lord above all and love your neighbor”. Who is our neighbour, especially in this day of changes in our culture.
