What to Expect
Whether you’ve attended church your entire life or have never visited one, we know it is not easy to visit a church for the first time. You are not quite sure what to expect and you probably have lots of questions and even some reservations. We want to begin your experience off right by answering a few questions about our church!
We work hard to provide a gathering space that abides by current health and safety standards. We look forward to seeing you in person!

You can participate in the online service livestream on our website every Sunday at 10am. If you can’t make it at that time the service will be published afterwards on our youtube channel.
What type of church is New Life?
We are a church with people from all backgrounds. We are affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church. Whether you’ve been attending church for years or this is your first time, you’ll feel welcome at New Life. Find out more about what we believe.
When are services?
We have a service every Sunday at 10:00am. Each service last about 60-80 minutes, and you should arrive about 15 minutes early if you have children who will need to be checked into KidsChurch or the Nursery. You are welcome to join us via livestream at newlifecrc.online.church.
How do I get there?
What should I wear?
Whatever you want! We welcome jeans, t-shirts, ties, tuxedos…you get the idea. Come as you are.
What happens when I arrive?
As you enter the New Life Church building you will be met by one of our friendly greeters, there to welcome you. Inside the main foyer is an information desk where a trained volunteer is ready to answer your questions. As you enter the auditorium you will see seating the floor and plenty of seating up the stairs on either side. While you wait, feel free to enjoy a cup of coffee, the music, read about upcoming events up on the screens, and complete as much information as you feel comfortable sharing on the Connection Card in your program (which you can put in the collection plate as it comes around).
What is the service like?
First of all, you won’t be pointed out or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. You will have a meaningful, stress-free experience.
Each service is about 60-80 minutes. The first 15 minutes of the service you’ll get to enjoy some worship music led by our Music Ministry. We’ll have the words to each song up on the screen, so you can sing as much as you feel comfortable.
After a short welcome from one of our pastors, there is usually another song or we’ll jump right into the day’s teaching. Each message/sermon is 30-35 minutes long and takes eternal Biblical principles and applies them to your life in some very real and practical ways.
What about my kids?
All children—from birth to 5th grade—are invited to join us for KidsChurch in a fun, safe, clean, interactive environment where our team of trained volunteers creates an environment your child will want to come back to every week! Nursery-aged children (ages 0-1) can be brought downstairs before the service, while older kids will start by sitting with you and be invited to head downstairs to the KidsChurch area after the worship team leads us in some songs.
All children should be registered before the service at the KidsChurch booth located in the lobby. When you register your child, you will receive a receipt sticker that you will use to pick up your child after the service. On that receipt, you will also notice a three-digit code, which will appear on the screens in the main sanctuary should your child need you during the service.
