Youth Ministry (Grades 8-12)
If you are a teen in grades 8-12 we want to welcome you to Switchlife, New Life’s High School Ministry. We call it Switchlife because of the story found in the book of Acts Chapter 9. In that story Saul meets Christ on the road and his life is forever switched.
Switchlife Youth meets on Thursday nights during the school year for a variety of events including small groups, large group potlucks, multi-church worship services, and some superfun field trips. To keep up to date with what is happening, follow us on Instagram @snapswitchlife.
Our goal is to create opportunities for youth to encounter that same life switching Christ on the road of their faith journey. Switchlife is a community that desires to remain deeply connected to our Saviour and to our generationally rich church community. Our youth leaders are adults that are passionate about the way Jesus is switching their lives and they can’t wait to meet you.
Youth Ministry Partnerships
We can’t do youth ministry alone. We need to be well connected and want to throw a blanket of support around each of our youth. To do this we want to connect them with partners in ministry. Parents are key advocates for teens and often know their teens best. (Even though we might wanna shout “yeah right!”). Our desire is to be connected and be together on the same page with ALL the adults that are building that community of support around you. In a four year Switchlife journey we will also pair up with local, region and international ministry partners to place you in those “life switching” zones. Some of those partners are: MCC Warehouse, The Fraser Valley Gleaners, Esperenza Ministries on Vancouver island, Mexico Outreach via Azusa Pacific University and Cariboo Community Church (Chilcotin or Shuswap Nation Basketball Camps).
There is no “cookie cutter” way to disciple youth. Life long faith in Jesus Christ is a life long journey. Switchlife can be a great place for you to develop deep roots that will sprout some strong branches on which rich faith fruit will grow. We believe that gospel truth, walking together in rivers of deep grace, worshipping with zealousness and living at the intersection of Christ and Community have a lot to do with building up a life long faith in Jesus Christ.
