Newcomer’s Lunch – Sept 28
Are you new to the New Life community? Whether you have come once, a handful of times or been attending for many months, we’d love to have lunch with you! Come upstairs after the service to room 303 on Sunday, Sept 28. You will have a chance to meet New Life Staff and Elders, ask questions and hear from Pastor Nathan a brief intro of New Life’s mission, vision and values. This is a great place for anyone who wants to connect deeper at New Life.

“Fan into Flame”
In 2 Timothy 1:6-7, Paul urges Timothy to “fan into flame the gift of God”—a reminder that the fire doesn’t keep itself burning; it needs to be stirred, fed, and fueled. It is our hope that through this Men’s Conference, God’s Spirit would reignite our passion, lead us to step boldly into our calling, and to strengthen us to stand firm in faith. Join us for a time of meaningful teaching, heartfelt worship, and authentic connection with other brothers in faith to be encouraged and equipped to live out our calling as godly men.

Speaker – Aaron Baart
Aaron currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Dordt University (Sioux Center, IA), providing spiritual direction and leadership on campus through oversight of the Campus Ministries. He also serves on the president’s cabinet at Dordt and occasionally teaches in the Theology Department. You can read more about Aaron here.

How much is it and how do I pay?
Registration fee is $45.
1) E-transfer to [email protected] and include in the memo your name on your registration and “Men’s Conference.”
2) Cash/Cheque – Drop it off at the church office during office hours (Tues-Thurs. 9am-4pm, Fri 9am-12pm)
Please pay immediately after registering. Your registration is not complete until you have completed the registration form and the payment.
When does registration close?
Registration originally closed October 15, however has been extended to Saturday, Oct 25.
Where is the conference located?
The conference is being held at New Life Church in Abbotsford (35270 Delair Road, V3G 2E2).

Can anyone attend?
This conference is open to any men.
Worship Night – August 27
You are invited to a Outdoor Worship Night on Wednesday, August 27, at 6:30pm!
This night is an opportunity for our community to gather and worship our awesome God while also celebrating the end of summer and the start of a new ministry year.
This event will be hosted off campus at Pete and Teri Kingma’s place, you can find the address in the New Life Encourager or email the [email protected]. This is an outside event, so please dress for the weather and bring your own lawn chair.

GEMS, Cadets & Switchlife Registration
Registration for midweek children and youth ministries are officially open!
GEMS and Cadets are for Grades 3-7. GEMS is a girls program on the first and third Tuesday of every month starting October 7, Cadets is a boy program second and fourth Tuesday of every month starting October 14. Switchlife is the youth program for grades 8-12 that runs on Thursday evenings. Switchlife’s first regular youth night will be on September 11. Grades 8-12 are also invited to a Youth Retreat called Reactivate on Sept 5-7. This is a retreat with all the youth of local Christian Reformed Churches hosted in Langley and is a great way to start off the year.
Please register for these midweek ministries before October 1. If you have questions about the GEMS and Cadets program, please contact Sarah Quantz. If you want to know more about Switchlife Youth, please contact Jacob Visser.

How do I pay the registration fee?
Cost is $70 for re-registering GEMS/Cadets and $80 for first time GEMS/Cadets. You can pay with cash or cheque (“New Life Church”) to the church office. Or you can pay with etransfer (“[email protected]”). In any form of payment please include a memo that states the students name and which program you are registering for (example: “John Doe Cadets Registration”)
There is no registration fee for Switchlife.
