Storytime

Fredrick Beuchner likened the Gospel to literature that was tragedy, comedy, and fairytale. This series of sermons is something like that in the sense that children’s stories sometimes can communicate something of the gospel very well. In the summer when more children are in the worship service, they should be able to hear something that they connect with. So we’ll tell a story from a children’s book, make a connection to the gospel, and then preach a sermon that relates that story book to some aspect of faith and the Good News of the Bible. It will be a fun exploration of some children’s stories and the gospel as we search for ways to live out our faith.
