Promises, Promises
November 27, 2022 – December 25, 2022We are people of promise. Not that we are always promising people. Rather we live with a dependence on the promises of God. In this advent season leading up to Christmas we’ll reflect on God’s promises. He promises that he won’t forget us. He promises that he will rule over us in peace. But God’s promises also shape the way we live. We are people who not only hold on to God’s promises for our security. We extend God’s promises to others, because ultimately God’s promise is the only good news in this world. And that’s why we celebrate Christmas – the celebration of God fulfilling his promise to send a Saviour and a King. In Jesus we have hope, peace, joy, and love.
