The Master’s Hand
July 3, 2022 – July 24, 2022On the one hand God is “the Divine Mystery”, “the Holy Other.” His being is unfathomable. On the other hand, God reveals himself in Scripture in surprisingly common and familiar ways. In a similar way to God becoming flesh, God also identifies with some of the human occupations in which we engage. The Bible refers to God as a potter, God as a creator, God as a farmer, and more. In this series we will explore who God is through some other biblical images used to reveal God: God as gardener, as a inventor and as a mother. As God stoops down to our level of activities, we are able to grasp a little more of his own character and (hopefully) love him more deeply.
