Worship Pastor - Part Time

Worship Pastor Position

New Life Church is currently accepting applications for a part time Worship Pastor. 

The Role

The Worship Pastor leads New Life Church in vibrant, Christ-centered worship and equips the congregation to live a lifestyle of worship. This role focuses on planning and leading weekly services that nurture faith and remain welcoming to all, especially guests. Working closely with the preaching pastor, the Worship Pastor helps craft creative, meaningful worship experiences that reflect our mission to “touch lives with he transforming love of Jesus.” As a skilled musician, this person will oversee music ministry and develop worship teams. The position is 20 hours/week with possible additional hours.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Sunday Morning Leadership

  • Plan and lead weekly services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor,
  • Engage the congregation authentically, encouraging active participation,
  • Model a lifestyle of worship on and off the platform.

2. Team Development & Shepherding

  • Recruit, train, and schedule musicians, vocalists, and production members,
  • Provide spiritual leadership and foster community and discipleship with the team,
  • Lead rehearsals that foster musical excellence and spiritual preparation.

3. Administration & Production

  • Manage team scheduling through Planning Center Online (PCO),
  • Manage the worship department budget and equipment maintenance,
  • Introduce songs that align with sound theology and the season of our church,
  • Participate in staff meetings and development activities,
  • Additional duties with sound, multimedia and lighting can be added.

 

Qualifications

1. Character & Theology

  • A public commitment to Jesus as Saviour and to following him as Lord of life.
  • A humble, teachable spirit and a team-player mentality.
  • Commitment to New Life’s beliefs, mission, vision, and procedures of operation.

2. Competence & Skills

  • Musical: Strong vocal ability and high proficiency in leading from an instrument (Guitar or Keys preferred).
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading a worship band and an ability to teach, motivate, and disciple volunteers.
  • Technical: Familiarity with modern worship technology is highly desirable.
  • Education: Some biblical or theological training, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent ministry experience.

3. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

 

Compensation

  • Salary commensurate with experience and education — Range: $22k – $32k/year based on 0.5 FTE.

Office Admin - Full Time (Temporary)

Office Administrator Position

New Life Church is currently accepting applications for a full time Office Administrator (Temporary – Maternity Leave Coverage)  

The Role

New Life Church is seeking a welcoming, organized, and adaptable Office Administrator to support the daily life of our church. This role plays a key behind-the-scenes part in helping our staff, volunteers, and congregation stay connected, informed, and supported. The Office Administrator serves as a central point of coordination for office operations, scheduling, ministry support and communication, helping ensure that ministry flows smoothly and people feel cared for.

Key Responsibilities

1. Office Management

  • Provide front office office support, including responding to inquiries and welcoming visitors
  • Maintain organized office systems, records, and supplies
  •  Support basic financial and administrative processes
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and care

2. Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support for staff meetings and internal coordination
  • Assist with scheduling, appointments, and preparation for Sunday services
  • Coordinate facility rentals and administer rental contracts
  • Support newcomer processes and congregational integration

3. Communication Skills

  • Publish church communications across print and digital platforms (newsletter, social media)
  • Support staff and ministry teams with communication needs
  • Help ensure information is clear, timely, and consistent across the church

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Comfortable using digital tools, calendars, and databases
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Experience in a church or nonprofit setting is an asset

Terms of Employment

This is a temporary, full‑time (35 hours/week), paid position intended to cover a maternity leave. The anticipated term is from May 1 2026 to April 30, 2027.  Specific start and end dates will be confirmed with the successful candidate.

Compensation

  • Salary commensurate with experience and education — Range: $38k – $48k/year.

Audio Visual Manager - 5-7 hours/week (Temporary)

Audio Visual Manager

New Life Church is currently accepting applications for a part time Audio Visual Manager (5-7 hours/week – Temporary – Maternity Leave Coverage)  

New Life CRC is seeking a Media & Tech Director who is passionate about creating a smooth, engaging worship experience through excellence in media, livestream, and technical ministry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on production and behind-the-scenes coordination, and who loves empowering volunteers to serve with confidence.

The Role

The Media & Tech Director ensures that all Sunday service media, livestream systems, and technical equipment operate reliably each week. This person will coordinate volunteers, support staff with tech needs, and maintain the tools and systems that enable our ministry to run effectively. If you enjoy solving problems, improving systems, and helping create a distraction-free worship environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations (Sunday Production & Execution)

  • Run livestream sound and media for Sunday services and rentals, or schedule a trained volunteer when unavailable.
  • Prepare and load all Sunday media elements in ProPresenter.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ProPresenter during the week as needed.
  • Keep media computers and the lighting console updated and functioning properly.
  • Program lighting presets for new sermon series and special services.
  • Oversee media techs on Sundays and provide real-time troubleshooting when issues arise.

2. Support (Technical Assistance & Volunteer Development)

  • Provide occasional support for the check-in system or nursery TV when glitches occur.
  • Recruit, train, and support media tech volunteers.

3. Administrative (Planning, Updates & Coordination)

  • Add chapters to livestream videos on YouTube.
  • Update Online A241s weekly.
  • Schedule monthly media and camera tech rotations in collaboration with the Worship Pastor.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience with church media systems (ProPresenter, livestreaming, basic audio).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train and regularly encourage volunteers.
  • A team-player with a heart for serving the church.

Hours & Compensation

  • This is a part-time (5-7 hours per week), fixed term position due to parental leave of absence.
  • The position begins mid-April and concludes upon the return of the regular employee to New Life Church employment.
  • The position involves a combination of Sunday morning hours + flexible weekday tasks
  • Compensation for this position will be $25.00 per hour.

Terms of Employment

This is a temporary, part time (5-7 hours/week), paid position intended to cover a maternity leave. The anticipated term is from April 2026 to April 2027. Specific start and end dates will be confirmed with the successful candidate.
