Kidschurch is a fun, safe place for kids in K - Gr.4 to come during part of the 9 and 11 o’clock services. Before the service starts, kids come to the Kid’s Info Booth in the lobby and receive a name tag that indicates their name and what grade they’re in at school. If you are visiting, there is a special visitor card for parents to fill out, with important information to ensure your child's safety.

Kids then go into the “big people's” service and participate in the first part. Then they are dismissed downstairs. This is where we sing, talk about missions, and hear a lesson that we can apply to our lives. We then break off into small groups (which are determined by what grade children are in) and talk some more, do a cool craft, and maybe even play a game or two.

When parents come for pick-up after the service, they need to sign their kids out, so we know they are going home with the correct families.

All of our adult Kidschurch leaders have done Criminal Record Checks (and they are redone every two years) and we ensure that every measure is taken to keep your kids safe. If your kids have to go to the washroom during Kidschurch, a leader will accompany them to the bathroom, but will not enter the bathroom. This will maintain privacy for the child.

During the year, we have some Parent/Child workshops that happen during Kidschurch. We've done one for many years on Kids and Communion. We also want to tackle subjects like Kids and the internet and Parenting issues. Also, in February-June, one Sunday a month is a “Take it Home” Sunday where we meet with one grade/month and their parents and talk about a faith skill that they can practice working on at home. These are great ways to include parents in the spiritual development of their kids.

Over 80 kids come to Kidschurch every week – it is a great way to spend part of their Sunday morning. We learn, we laugh and we love to be there!
