How long have you been working at New Life?
2 ½ years
What is your general job description and/or areas you oversee?
I oversee the Gr. K-6 department (Kidschurch, GEMS, Cadets, VBS, Soccer Camp)
What type of education/training have you had?
I have my Bachelor of Sacred Music. I taught kids music for 20 plus years, 8 of those teaching K-6 classroom music in Manitoba.
What other life experiences have you had in life that help make you amazing at what you do?
I taught Vocal/Speech Workshops at Kids Only Acting Classes in South Surrey. I have a ridiculous amount of experience being a team player in orchestras and choirs (performing and conducting) and on countless Worship teams.
What is your favourite part of the job?
Coming to work and working with the staff.
What do you hope to accomplish in your role?
Develop a safe and happy place for kids to come and learn how much Jesus loves them.
Who are your immediate family members?
My husband Tony who is almost as funny as me
Ben who is 12 and my beloved son
Aria who is 10 and a little song
Chrissy who is 7 and an anointed follower of Christ
Faith who is 6 and completely faithful
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Play Rock Band on the Wii
What is one thing about you that most people don’t know about you?
I still teach piano 10 hours a week, and playing piano makes me really happy.
